BROWNS VALLEY – Cecil Edward Stanley, 86, a former resident of Browns Valley and retired employee of the old Walter Sheets Feed and Seed Store at Crawfordsville, died today in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Pitcock, at Linden. He was a member of the Browns Valley Christian Church. Mr. Stanley had been a resident of Browns Valley 40 years. He was born May 20, 1890, at Livonia. He was married to Clara Alta Gardner on Aug. 20, 1913, at Salem. Surviving besides his daughter are a son, Sam of West Bend, Wis.; two grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Machledt & Servies Funeral Home at Waveland with the Rev. James Boudouris officiating. Graveside rites will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Livonia Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Tuesday. – jlr
